What Plus actually gives you
The headline mechanic is the +10 Plus Bonus per completed hosted game. That's on top of whatever tokens the mode pays you from correct answers. There are secondary perks (exclusive avatars, a dashboard flag), but the Plus Bonus is the whole value proposition for most players.
The Plus Bonus does not stack over the daily cap. Tokens earned past the 500-token daily limit still count toward the cap, and the cap itself doesn't change with Plus. That matters for the break-even math below.
Break-even games per month
Plus generates real token value only on games you'd play anyway. If your daily cap is 500 tokens and you're already hitting it in ~25 minutes without Plus, adding Plus doesn't give you more tokens; it just gets you to the cap slightly faster. The cap is the ceiling.
Where Plus is clearly profitable: you're not hitting the cap most days. For example, a player who averages 8 hosted games per week but stops before the 500-token cap would gain 80 extra tokens per week from Plus Bonus alone (8 × 10), or ~350 per month. That's about 18 packs at 20 tokens each: a modest but real gain.
Who it's worth it for
- Cap-hitting grinders: not worth it. You're already at the ceiling. Plus doesn't raise the ceiling.
- Classroom-hosted players (teachers) with 10+ hosted sessions a week: borderline worth it, leaning yes if you're close to cap naturally.
- Casual players with 2–5 games a week, under cap: worth it for the time value, since Plus turns short sessions into meaningful token volume.
- Collectors chasing seasonal Chromas: worth it in the months leading up to a window. The extra tokens go directly into the Chroma stockpile. Cancel after the window.
